Data and privacy

Task Keeper stores everything in the widget itself, inside the Figma file, the same way a sticky note keeps its text. Figma syncs this data between everyone who has the file open. There is no Task Keeper server and no account: tridiART never receives your tasks, names or any other data from the widget.

Data Contents
Board Title, language, size, background color, collapsed columns, the current filter, which panels are open, and the widget’s own ID (to notice when it has been copied)
Tasks Title, column, priority, position, creation time, the assignee’s Figma user ID, the revision count, the latest revision note with its author’s Figma user ID, a revision note that is still being written, the approver’s Figma user ID, subtasks, the linked object’s ID and name, tags and the history
History entries Time, the person’s name, the action and its details: the column, the assignee’s name or the full revision note
Tags Name, color and creation time
Team list Figma user ID, name, profile photo address and the color Figma gives each person
Removed people The Figma user IDs of people removed from the team, so they are not added back automatically

Task Keeper does not store email addresses or anything from outside the file.

Everything Task Keeper stores is part of the file. Anyone who can open the file sees the widget, and anyone who can use the widget can open any card’s history, including the full revision notes and the names in it. Treat the widget like any other content on the board.

The widget’s manifest allows two domains:

with the reason “Shows team members’ Figma profile photos.” Figma gives the widget the address of each person’s profile photo, and FigJam loads the image from that address. These photos are the only network requests the widget causes.

  • Task Keeper’s code sends no requests of its own and contains no analytics.
  • The Task Keeper and tridiART logos are embedded in the widget and are not downloaded.
  • The tridiART button in the top row opens https://www.tridiart.com in your browser, only when you click it.
Permission Why Task Keeper needs it
currentuser To read your Figma user ID, name, photo and color when you use the widget: to add you to the team list, record who approved a card or wrote a revision note, put your name on history entries and resolve My tasks.
activeusers To read the list of people who are in the file, so the team list fills itself.

Besides its own data, Task Keeper reads the file only to:

  • get the ID and name of the selected object when you click Link to selected object,
  • find a linked object when you click its label, then switch to its page if needed and zoom to it (the widget uses Figma’s dynamic page loading, so the object is looked up only at that moment),
  • read the background color of the other Task Keeper widgets on the same page when a widget is added or copied.

It does not change any object outside the widget.

  • Deleting the widget deletes its tasks, tags, team list and history with it. No copy is kept anywhere else.
  • Copying the widget (for example with Ctrl+D, or copy and paste) creates a widget with the same tasks, tags, team list, filter and history. From then on the two are independent, and the copy picks a new background color.
  • Duplicating the file, or pasting the widget into another file, takes the data along. A card’s link points to an object by its ID, so it only works in a file that contains that object; otherwise you see The linked object was not found.
  • Sharing the file shares the widget’s data with everyone who gets access.
  • Removing someone from the team removes their name and photo address from the team list and unassigns their cards. Their Figma user ID stays in the list of removed people and on cards they approved or wrote a revision note for, and their name stays in the history entries. To remove those, delete the cards.
