Unreal Engine 5.6 – 5.8

Ferryman is an editor plugin that connects Unreal editors and moves assets between them, together with everything those assets use. The editors can be on the same machine, on your network or somewhere else on the internet. Assets can even go to an editor that runs an older engine version.
Every arrival is reviewed before anything is written: you see what is new, what is already there and what differs, and you decide where it lands.
Features
Section titled “Features”- Send to another editor. Editors with Ferryman find each other on the same machine and on your network. Pick assets or folders and press Send. See Other editors.
- Copy and paste. Ctrl+C in one Content Browser, Ctrl+V in another editor’s Content Browser. See Copy and paste.
- Everything comes along. A parcel holds what you picked and everything it uses, like Migrate. Plugins and code modules the assets need are listed. See Parcels.
- Review before it lands. Each asset is marked New, Same or Differs. Replace, keep yours or keep both; land at the same paths, into a folder or straight into the folder you are in. Backups first, everything undone if landing fails. See Reviewing arrivals.
- Live links. Link assets with another editor: every save sends the new version. See Live links.
- Dock. A shared folder (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, a network share) where machines leave parcels for each other, optionally locked with a six-word code. See Dock.
- Connection codes. For editors that don’t see each other: the receiver makes a code, the sender pastes it. See Connection codes.
- Sound. Machines next to each other send small things through the speaker and the microphone: material parameters, actor placement, a short text, or a ticket that fetches assets. See Sound.
- Older engine versions. Textures, static meshes and material instances from a newer engine are rebuilt in an older one. See Older engine versions.
- Secure. Editors pair once with four check words, and every network transfer is encrypted. See Security.
- Python and Blueprint API for everything above. See Python & Blueprint.
