What's included
- 3ds Max 2013 scene (.max) with V-Ray materials, sun and sky, and cameras
- FBX (2020 format) with standard materials and the texture maps in a maps folder
- 25 texture maps (JPG), up to 3000 × 2014
Notes
- Requires 3ds Max 2013 or newer. The V-Ray materials need V-Ray (V-Ray 2.30 or newer); without it, use the FBX.
- The maps sit next to the .max file and are referenced by file name, so 3ds Max finds them when the scene and the maps stay in the same folder.
- The FBX comes from the Scanline version of the scene: 613 objects, 301,988 polygons, standard materials, with a larger street area than the .max.
- The gallery images are renders of this scene.
- No interior (the windows have curtains), no LODs, no collision and no rig.
Questions
Which software do I need?
For the .max scene: 3ds Max 2013 or newer with V-Ray. The FBX opens in any FBX-capable software (Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, Unity) with standard materials.
The textures are missing when I open the scene. What do I do?
Keep the .max file and the maps in the same folder. If you moved them, relink once with Asset Tracking → Set Path.
Can I use it in Unreal Engine or Unity?
Import the FBX. It is about 520K triangles without LODs, so plan to optimize it for real-time use.
Can I use it in commercial work?
Yes, under Fab's Standard license. The Personal license is for buyers with up to $100,000 in gross revenue in the last 12 months, the Professional license for buyers above that. Both give the same rights.
