Byzantine Chapel
A domed Byzantine chapel interior: grey-marble and white columns with gilded Corinthian capitals carry mosaic-covered arches and half-domes, painted murals run above dark wood panels with gilded garlands, and a windowed central dome lights the space. The apse holds an enthroned Madonna icon framed in gold with candle sconces, over a stone mosaic floor. For historical film and TV sets, religious architecture visualization, cinematics and stills.

What's included
- 3ds Max 2020 scene (.max) with V-Ray Next materials, lights and cameras
- FBX (2014/2015 format) of the full scene with the same texture maps
- 26 texture maps (JPG) in a maps folder
- CREDITS.txt with the texture attribution
Notes
- Requires 3ds Max 2020 or newer and V-Ray Next or newer for the .max scene.
- The scene stores absolute map paths. If the maps do not load, point 3ds Max to the included maps folder once with Asset Tracking → Set Path, or add it under Customize → Configure Project Paths → External Files.
- The FBX uses relative paths (maps\...): keep the maps folder next to it. V-Ray-specific materials (blend materials, SSS) become standard materials in other software and need adjusting.
- The gallery images are V-Ray renders of this scene; the last one shows the same view with a checker material.
- No LODs, no collision and no game-engine version.
Questions
Which software do I need?
For the .max scene: 3ds Max 2020 or newer with V-Ray Next or newer. The FBX opens in any FBX-capable software (Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, Unity), but the materials need adjusting.
The textures are missing when I open the scene. What do I do?
The scene uses absolute paths. Relink once with Asset Tracking → Set Path to the unzipped maps folder, or add that folder to the External Files paths.
Can I use it in Unreal Engine or Unity?
Import the FBX. It is a high-poly V-Ray scene (about 1.16 million triangles) without LODs, so plan to optimize it and rebuild the materials for real-time use.
Can I use it in commercial work?
Yes, under Fab's Standard license. The Personal license is for buyers with up to $100,000 in gross revenue in the last 12 months, the Professional license for buyers above that. Both give the same rights.
